Info TSX Venture Help
Start Use this screen to search the TSX Venture Listed Company Database by listed company name, business organization name, symbol, NAICS code, city/province, or person name. The search will return matching information to a maximum of 1000 results (except in the case of a Province-level search, which will return all results regardless of whether they exceed 1000). To access a comprehensive list of NAICS codes, click on the link "Show list of Industry classifications". A scroll box will open with a list of all NAICS code ordered numerically by code. You can use the scroll bar on the right side of the box to search the list and choose the one you are interested in. Please note that you can only choose one NAICS code at a time. The Go button to the right of each field activates the search. Please note that you should use the Go button to activate a search rather than pressing Current/Past Filters Many screens within Info TSX Venture contain the ability to select a Current, Past or dual view. This function is located below the "Navigation Options" drop-down list near the top right of the screen. The Current filter is the default, and displays only current information for the company or security you are researching. The Past filter will add historical information to the display. Business Summary The Business Summary screen displays information for an organization that is not a TSX Venture listed company (e.g. - an accounting firm, law firm, etc.) and is accessed by selecting the firm's name from the Associations table on the Company Summary for a particular TSX Venture listed company. The Business Summary screen displays information for the organization including:
The Company News and Bulletins screen enables you to view news releases issued by the company, as well as exchange bulletins pertaining to the company. You may use the check boxes at the top-left of the screen to display only news releases or only bulletins. In addition, for bulletins, you may use the "Bulletin categories" and "Bulletin types for all categories" scroll boxes to select specific types of exchange bulletins you wish to view. You can search for historical trading status changes using the Date Range filter above the table. The default Date Range is set to 6 months. Company Summary The Company Summary screen contains a snapshot of information for each TSX Venture listed company, including:
Corporate Actions The Corporate Actions screen (formerly called Entitlement) provides information on such historical actions as symbol changes, CUSIP number changes, cash dividends, and security changes. Click on the "Details" button at the right side of any row of information to access a screen with more detail regarding that particular corporate action. Financings The Financings area of Info TSX Venture provides a comprehensive view of various financings that the listed company has been involved in, including initial public offerings, private placements, option offerings, bonuses, and property acquisitions. The main Financings screen provides a summary view of all financings based on the Date Range selected above the table. The default Date Range is set to 5 years. Click on the text in the Financing Type column to view the details of that particular financing. Latest Company News and Bulletins The Latest Company News and Bulletins screen displays news releases issued by all TSX Venture listed companies, as well as exchange bulletins, for the past 2 days. You may use the check boxes at the top-left of the screen to display only news releases or only bulletins. In addition, for bulletins, you may use the "Bulletin categories" and "Bulletin types for all categories" scroll boxes to select specific types of exchange bulletins you wish to view. Due to the large volume of bulletins and news releases in our database, this screen is restricted to providing results for a maximum date range of 2 days. Latest Public Filings The Latest Public Filings displays a list of public filings that may be on file in the exchange database for all listed companies. Due to the large volume of public filings in our database, this screen is restricted to providing results for a maximum date range of 1 week. Please note that we strongly recommend you use the SEDAR public company filing database as the most comprehensive source of public filings for Canadian public companies. Latest Trading Status Changes The Latest Trading Status Changes screen contains information related to status changes for all TSX Venture listed companies. You can search for historical trading status changes using the Date Range filter above the table. The default Date Range is set to the last 2 days. Market Capitalization / Daily Trading Summary (Market Information) The combined Market Capitalization / Daily Trading Summary screen used to be 2 separate screens in Info TSX Venture - the Market Cap screen and the Market Information screen. These two screens are now combined into one easy-to-view format. The Market Capitalization table provides, as a default, the last entry in the Info TSX Venture database for the market cap of a security. Click on the "Details" button at the side of the row of information to get more detail on the entry. The Daily Trading Summary table provides a historical reference for the daily closing information of a security. You can use the Date Range filters above this table to search for any length of time back to 1990, and the Info TSX Venture database will display all results that exist for the security. The Date Range filter is defaulted to a period of 90 days. If you select the check box "Show Market Cap based on date range selected below" above the Market Capitalization table, and then select the Go button beside the Date Range filters above the Daily Trading Summary table, the screen will refresh both tables based on the selected Date Range. Public Filings The Public Filings screen offers you the ability to search for public filings that may be on file in the exchange database for a particular company. You can search for historical public filings using the Date Range filter above the table. The default Date Range is set to 6 months. Please note that we strongly recommend you use the SEDAR public company filing database as the most comprehensive source of public filings for Canadian public companies. Security Summary The Security Summary screen offers a summary of the information for each security listed on TSX Venture, including:
Short Summary The Short Summary screen is updated twice monthly with short position information for each security. You can search for short position information based on the Date Range filter above the table. The default Date Range is set to 6 months. Trading Status Changes The Trading Status Changes screen contains historical information related to status changes for the selected security. You can search for historical trading status changes using the Date Range filter above the table. The default Date Range is set to 90 days. |
